My best limerick (no, I kid you not, the others are WORSE!!!)

"Filk" is a Looking-glass sort of poetry, where very familiar lyrics somehow get to be not quite right... For example, I somehow misremembered the angry-young-man anthem of the sixties, "Blowing in the Wind". I also seem to have trouble getting the right words to "Sweet Betsy from Pike," "The Streets of Laredo," and even the "Mexican Hat Dance."
